ELLA WHITE

--  is a freshman mechanical engineering student and multimedia artist at Yale University whose artwork is inspired by automotive culture and componentry. Her visual style combines digital illustration, classical printmaking, embroidery, and engineering imagery to encourage viewers to consider the convergence between analog and digital, form and function, and ultimately the universal struggle of finding our way.

White's interest in cars was sparked by a super loud, bright red 930 Turbo and many subsequent trips to Los Angeles Dismantler to sketch and paint air-cooled Porsches.

In her free time, she loves listening to CASIOPEA's MINT JAMS, playing the Metal Gear games, and restoring her 1967 BMW 1600.

White's interest in cars was sparked by a super loud, bright red Porsche 930 Turbo, which inspired her to transfer to a STEM school, take many trips to Los Angeles Dismantler to sketch and paint air-cooled Porsches, and work at an auto shop. In her free time, she loves listening to CASIOPEA's MINT JAMS, playing the Metal Gear games, and baking French macarons.
